Driving with low fuel . . .

As your fuel level decreases, all that remains is the sludge at the bottom of the tank. This can easily be sucked into the system and cause blockages in the filter. This can have an immediate effect and damage the filters and the fuel pump. If this happens you will soon see issues quickly and need your Land Rover repaired.

Not having your car serviced regularly?

You could be putting your vehicle at risk if you miss or forget your service on your Land Rover. Catch the problems before they get worse and more expensive for you. If you’re not sure on how often you should take your Land Rover to be serviced, give our friendly reception team a call or be sure to book your Land Rover in for a service today.

Do you rest your foot on the clutch?

If you are in the habit of leaving your foot on the clutch, this will put unnecessary pressure on vital parts of the car that can result in the clutch becoming heated which will cause increased wear.

Ignoring dashboard warning lights . . .

The warning lights on your dashboard are there for a reason. They are there to alert you if something is wrong with your vehicle and if you need to get a professional to take a look for you. Most people, immediately ignore the warning on their dashboard and wait until they are next booked in for a service. The problems that are being alerted could lead to severe and expensive issues, and therefore need to be dealt with quickly.

Sudden braking . . .

There will be times where an emergency stop is necessary, however, braking late or harshly will put more tension on the braking system. This will wear out your pads and discs faster, meaning you need to get them changed more frequently which will cost more money; It will also cost you more in fuel.

Are you overloading your vehicle?

The more your car weighs, the more strain you’ll be putting on the brakes, drivetrain and suspension. Refer to your owner’s manual to see what your vehicle’s maximum weight load is. Taking unnecessary items out of your car will not only make it lighter but will have a huge impact on your fuel economy.
